What’s Your Fear Factor?

“When you take a leap into the well of fear, you may notice that things do not feel very good there. When you retreat into that darkness, things may seem overwhelming and impossible. You may become ‘paralyzed’ and find that you are moving AWAY from your dreams instead of INTO them.

What price do you pay when fear takes hold? Notice what happens on the physical level – perhaps constriction of muscle, a tightness in your chest, shallow breathing, or cold sweat. When you are lost in fear, what emotions creep in? Where do your thoughts go? What happens when you are happy and full of excitement?

When you can identify your fears and embrace them with love and compassion, then you will find that the time you spend visiting them DECREASES and the time you spend in excitement, joyful curiosity, wonder, and PURE LOVE INCREASES.

Which would you prefer?” – At One

Today’s Powerful and Positive Affirmation is:
“I live in excitement! Life is so good to me all ways!”

Today I am grateful for the teachings of love vs. fear, prosperous new business ventures, new Spiritual Coaching clients, Murray and Jerome at Narativ Inc. for breakthroughs in storytelling and writing, Lisa Nichols, Ardyss International, Robin, Fred, workshops that are overflowing with participants, gray skies, winter rain, deep sleep and YOU.

Thanks and peace to all!

What Are You Doing In That Box?

“When you open to possibility, possibility enters. When you open to YOU, YOU enter.”
– from a meditation on the morning of 2/21/10

I met Lisa Nichols yesterday afternoon. If you don’t know who she is, I highly recommend that you find out (you could start with The Secret or Lisa’s book No Matter What), check out her inspirational story and get into one of her transformational workshops or other events ASAP.

Lisa knocked my socks off when she spoke at Sacred Center NY. I was so impressed I stayed for her 2-hour workshop after the service. By the end of that I was a devotee, so when she asked us to continue the conversation at her hotel room I practically offered to carry her there on my back.

The main thing I took away from that meeting, besides a new business and new business partners – which I’ll share more about soon so that you can share the wealth, was (yet again) “Get Out of The Box!”

“When you limit your self based on beliefs and stories from the past, you take a back seat in your own life.

All of the could haves, should haves, and would haves don’t matter today, right here and NOW. Once you move beyond the shelter of what was, you’ll find that what is and what can be is far more exciting and often more comfortable and prosperous. Love the stories and know that you can leave them behind. You will be just fine without them!

Where in your life are you being quiet and small? What do you want for your self? What kind of life do you dream of living? When will you start living it?

Are you willing to take a chance and jump out of the box once and for all?”

Today’s Powerful and Positive Affirmation is:
“I am in the process of growing the life of my dreams. I have all that I need, all of the time. All is well.”

Big thanks today to Lisa Nichols, Sacred Center NY, Greg Halpen and his Profound Visibility commitment/teachings, NYC libraries, the McBurney YMCA, my breath and body, sugar-free days and nights, sexy men and women who love their bodies, my book agent, editor and publisher, Mondays, and the excitement that new awareness brings.

Thanks and peace to all!

What Are You Whining About?

The way we ask for or talk about something can have a great impact on the way it ultimately appears (or does not appear) in our lives. Are you a whiner or a commander/allower?

“Whenever you make a request for something, the Universe all ways responds. It doesn’t matter what the thing is. The Universe doesn’t judge the size, shape or cost of your request, it just provides you with the means with which to manifest it.

The Law of Attraction or Manifestation says that what you focus on grows, your thoughts are things that appear or disappear according to the attention you give them.

If you whine about something that is not showing up in your life, then chances are that it will continue to not show up. If you say in your whiny voice, “I really want that, but…” and the underlying conviction is that you are unworthy or undeserving, than guess what happens? It doesn’t come, and if it does, you are likely to miss it because you are focused on it not being there.

Pay attention to how you are thinking and talking about what you want. Use your mind to empower you, to command the results that you desire, to allow the most pleasant events to unfold with great ease.

Focus on the mess and there will be more mess. Focus on the gold and you will find rainbow after rainbow after rainbow on your path.

Like attracts like. What are you like?”

Amen!

Tuesday’s Positive and Powerful Affirmation is:
“I allow my dreams to unfold in the most abundantly beautiful and empowering ways. All is well.”

Today I express my gratitude to the wise trees, the waters, the wind, the sun, moon and stars, the New York Shamanic Circle, my home at the beach, my feet and hands that take me where I want to go and open the doors, my breath, my open-mindedness, my book agent, editor and publisher, new and prosperous business opportunities, friends and family.

Thanks and peace to all!

Your Impulse: Can You Just Give In To It?

Yesterday I wrote about following my impulse in writing. Without a known topic I gave myself permission to let my fingers and hands find their way to the computer keys and I let whatever wanted to appear on the screen show itself. What came out was a few lines about nothing.

Sitting down to write today’s piece I gathered my mental notes and news statistics about the blockbuster film Avatar. When I thought I was ready to type and fill up the page with some cohesive verse about the importance of a movie like Avatar my mind went blank. Then I heard a familiar voice say, “Follow your impulse and do what you did yesterday.”

I ignored the voice, just like I did yesterday, just as I’ve done a million times in my life. Hmm… And at what price?

I’ve decided to embark on what may turn out to be an interesting experiment and let this weeks posts write themselves. It sometimes happens like that anyway. When I go into ‘the creativity zone’ I often wonder who is doing the writing, talking, drumming. singing, etc. Let’s see what comes through today.

“Whenever you find your self resisting your true nature, you may experience discomfort, doubt, fear or uncertainty. Can you really be who you say you are when your heart and mind are at odds with each other, when your ‘true’ self is left to languish?

What on Earth would your life be like if you chose to follow just one impulse each day? Just ONE impulse out of the multitude that attempts to be seen and heard in a 24-hour period. Do you think it would be any more painful to follow an impulse than not to? What are you afraid of? Being wrong? Being right? Failing? Succeeding?

What if you TRUSTED your self enough to break out of the illusion of beliefs that have kept you from living where and how you want to live? Can you imagine what your life – your world – would look like? Can you imagine? Can you? We invite you to TRY.”

OK! There you have it.

Today’s affirmation: “Positive energy flows through me all ways. I live my life the way I want to.”

Today I give thanks to another impulse, my open heart and mind, the thrill of giving in to something that is not so new, anyone and everyone who has ever inspired me by allowing their impulsive genius to shine through, ‘negative’ assessments, my teachers at the New York Shamanic Circle, the Skype video cam, curiosity, chocolate, and my healthy body.

Amen.

Thanks and peace to all!

It’s Up to You. Be Stupid, Part 2

Those Diesel ads have gotten to me again. Now they have me thinking about my Action/Attraction Plan and my tendency to procrastinate (as duly noted by my ex the other night).

Who’s going to help you reach your goals? How will you be accountable?

“Whenever you set your mind to something there is a chain reaction in the Universe. All systems are set to go, and the ultimate player in the game is you.

You determine how fast or slow the results come. You determine the outcome. You resist or persist.

Ask your self: What do I really want? How do I want that to come to me? What can I do to make it easier for all of my allies to assist me?

Remove any and all obstacles by allowing your self to do what you do best: Create.

Build your Trust Fund by taking positive and powerful steps EVERY DAY until you feel certain that you are where you want to be and can fully support your dream with your positive thoughts, feelings and actions.

Commit to asking for help – all ways and every way.

Let it flow, let it flow and let it go.”

Here are some affirmations that may help you:

1) ‘I am all ways open to receiving what is best for me.’

2) ‘Everything I desire is mine.’

3) ‘There is help for me everywhere I turn.’

And so it is.

Today I am grateful for the ability to stay on track without looking back, Dona Leova’s protection bath, a clear vision and voice, prosperous new business deals, love without conditions, dating, abundant resources that support my dreams, my book agent, editor and publisher, deep sleep.

Paz y luz!

Do You Feel It?

Today I am aware once again that many aspects of my life are converging. It’s the ‘everything is one thing’ feeling that stops me in my tracks and leaves me, in my humaness, awestruck. I’ve also noticed that I am manifesting things very fast.

What’s up with that?

“In every way you are connected. Not just on certain days, and at certain times, but ALL WAYS. If you look around you will see the connection in the eyes of your loved ones and in the eyes of a stranger, in the sway of the trees, in the mountains and in the sea. All of Nature is impulsing you to be at one with everything and everyone. Why on Earth would you want to separate your self from what surrounds you?

Pay close attention to your thoughts. What are you thinking? What is the end result of those thoughts? If you could manifest each thought into a physical form you would be overwhelmed by what would appear because for most people, the ‘negative’ would outweigh the ‘positive’.

Practice every day working with thoughts that make you feel good and that create an impulse to take positive action. Watch what comes from that simple practice. Tune in to you and you will see how quickly Nature/God/the Universe responds.”

And so it is.

Today I am grateful for my J.O.B., the hands that type these words, my breath, insight and a grand vision, lessons from CM, my purring cat, heat and hot water, soft pillows, warm blankets, a strong foundation, new business opportunites, the word yes, my book agent, editor and publisher.

Thanks and peace to all!

How Is Your Stamina?

It’s winter. I need to sleep. Not hibernate, just get a solid eight hours of sleep so that I feel rested when I wake up. It keeps my mind sharp and my spirit peaceful. Without the proper amount of sleep my stamina suffers.

Lately I’ve been staying up far too late for my own good. “But I’m working on my creative projects,” I rationalize. In the morning I manage to be quite chipper, but as the day progresses I notice that I am a bit ‘off’, and the actions I want to take in regard to manifesting my goals do not get done.

What to do?

I have a deck of Animal Medicine Cards and on an impulse yesterday (btw, my #1 new year resolution/commitment is to follow my impulses) I drew a card. Elk, the symbol for Stamina, appeared. The message that stuck out for me was, “Elk is telling you to look at how you choose to create your present pathway, and how you intend to perpetuate it to reach your goal. Your best weapon is the same as Elk’s: to stop when you need to, to persist when you need to, and to allow room for change and exchange of energies.”

The message always shows up at the right time.

And now I’ll take the advice that came from someone I follow on Twitter who posted a quote by Pablo Picasso: “”Action is the foundational key to all success.” and go to sleep.

Today I send my gratitude to all who dream big dreams and take empowering action to see them through, to Robin Coley, my landlord, my neighbors, all the folks who run the New York Sports Club at 145th St. and who gave my friend an extra day on her visitors pass, the authors and artist who created the Medicine Cards that I’ve had since 1993, my clients, new and prosperous business opportunites, my home at the beach, my book agent, editor and publisher.

Thanks and peace to all!
